This picture is taken in Almere (the Netherlands).
The water there is called : het Weerwater wich means the Weatherwater. At the time that I took this picture there was a HUGE hailstorm above the city. Thats why the sky looks kind of weird. The redness is the reflection of the citylights in the hail.

There are 2 translation from 'weer' into the english wich are : weather and again!

Migiel11 say's: The real translation from weerwater into english is: againwater. Years ago there was only water and no land there.. They removed the water and build Almere there.. Now ceveral years later they made this lake and thats why they gave it the name: againwater!

who nu vind ik mijn foto van de Almeerse skyline een stuk minder mooi :P oh trouwens het heet niet het wheaterwater, maar je zou het moeten vertalen als againwater. omdat 'het weerwater' een meer is wat ze hebben aangelegd na de drooglegging. er ligt dus weer water. als je dat natuurlijk interesant vind om te weten :aww:
